Flirting with the Sun

The face of London has metamorphosed many times. Changes are part of the city's restless character.

Renzo Piano architect of The Shard designed it to flirt with the sun. I was working on the 24th floor of this magnificent building today. And I thought of Wordsworth.
The beauty of the morning: silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky,
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.
Piano’s skyscraper pierces the Thames skyline with its jagged form. I was glad to get back to terra firma.
