Gillipaw's Journal

By Gillipaw

George Square, Glasgow

After the deluge yesterday, it felt like summer today.

Students arriving in the city for the new session, I met one raw recruit and his family having a walk around town after settling him into halls. I am glad I had both experiences, undergraduate study at home, postgrad study in Halls. Then I became a Hall Warden - I could write a book about that!

Enjoyed The Last Night of The Proms tonight from Glasgow Green and London. Can't quite believe Garry Tank Commander made an appearance in Glasgow. Excellent performances throughout the realm. Top piece for me was 'Serenade to Music' by Vaughan Williams, performed by sixteen young singers.
