Meadow Brown - Maniola jurtina - male

Isn't that just typical!

The big butterfly count finishes and then the weather warms up and the wind drops letting the butterflies show themselves.

Today I saw ringlets, small heaths, green-veined whites, small coppers as well as meadow browns.

I didn't see any blues, although this was at a site where I have seen them in other years.

If the weather holds, I may go back again tomorrow.
