Sunburned Leaves

After watering our garden plot we strolled around looking at how the other gardens were faring.
The winding down of most of the gardening efforts was plainly evident, as was the aging of the plants which began their lives six weeks ahead or our plants.
It's the first time we've been so out of step with everyone else's gardening energy.
It feels strange.
