twinned with trumpton

By MrFT

A slow morning; hung some washing out, had breakfast and for 11 we were out for Spartans in the pale sunshine of autumn - it tried hard to brighten up, it did.

One bounce keepie uppie and back stroke were the order of the day; then lunch (a cooked breafast) before we got on my old bike for the last time and headed all the way into town; up the cycle path to Crewe Toll; onwards to Roseburn, in to Haymarket, a shimmy around Morrison Street to the rust garden, along Lochrin Place to the Meadows and to hers.

We swapped bikes, leaving my old one (perfectly good working order) for her lad, and then onto my new one. (Unlike other blippers, I am happy to show my new wheels off - its a Canonback - hang on a Ridgedale, er no - a Synapse Canondale thingy - Ride to Work, much cheapness end of season sale - a little bumpy but a decent fit I reckon. Need to bond with it and soon - expect a photo from a ridiculously pointless long distance ride soon)
Then she went off to see her lad at the tennis club finals day (won singles, got pissed and lost doubles) and we meandered home for crap TV, bed time stories and Tom's favourite dinner.
