Doors Open

When Mme A and I wandered over to the Estate for "Doors Open" we were lucky enough to join a tour around and inside Penicuik House led by Sir Robert Clerk himself. I learned quite a few things about the house and estate and ended up chatting with him for a while after the tour, learning more about the exciting plans for restoring features of the estate, as well as the challenges of doing so! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the event, so had to make do with this one looking back towards the house when we were walking home.
