The life & times of Jacks

In the Old Town

*backblip*

The weather was absolutely beautiful on the second day of our holidays.  We decided to spend the day locally in Lapad area where we sat and read by the pool, loving the amazing views out to the sea.  This was then followed by a walk out to Lapad main promenade area for a spot of lunch and a cheeky ice cream before heading back to the hotel to clean up and head back into the old town for a wander.

It was such a lovely evening and we enjoyed seeing the fantastic old town as the sun set.  In September there seemed to be quite a lot of adverts for classical music - I am not sure if this was a normal thing but anyways we followed some signs and found ourselves at this great little free concert performed by a wonderful string quartet hailing from Budapest.

It was lovely.  The cellist was fantastic - his whole body and facial gestures went into his music.  It was a lovely way to spend an evening.  We then found a little wine bar (the wine in Croatia is mostly ALL croatian and mostly very expensive! but very tasty) before being lazy and just getting a pizza slice for dinner.

The extra photos are of the outside of the gates and also in the alley way as we waited for the concert to begin.
