lune Valley

In 1816, Turner painted the Lune Valley from the grounds of St Mary's Church in Kirkby Lonsdale, and Ruskin called it 'one of the loveliest scenes in England - therefore the world"
Sandwiched between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks, it is prime walking country.
i think turner used a little artistic licence as the hills look bigger in his painting
