KATY'S GOLDCREST

I'd just got to sister Katy's house in Norfolk when we spotted this wee Goldcrest looking rather bedraggled in the garden. It posed for some photos and then managed to flutter up a tree and out of sight, so we hope it recovered and moved on. Katy says it's the first one she's seen in her garden, although by way of complete contrast, if you ever saw the newspaper headline "Norfolk woman spots vulture in garden" several years ago, that was Katy too. It had escaped from a collection somewhere and was perched at the top of one of her trees.
