Blackberries

Teenager conscripted to blackberry picking, there's no such thing as free trainers. I had a lot of photos to choose from and this is not the prettiest, by a long way. What interests me is that just 3 or 4 years ago this was mostly cement and hardcore which has been gradually engulfed by willowherb, blackberries, nettles, thistles, buddleia etc. In one place a small wood of buddleia and willow has sprung up. There were some lovely butterflies too. Quickly picked a few pounds, it's a bumper year
