Kawarau Gorge

Today 10 walkers travelled to Cromwell, parked at Old Cromwell Town, and headed upstream on the true left of the Kawarau River.  It was a lovely walk, warm, and windy, especially on the way back to the cars.  We had a nice cuppa at a local cafe at Old Cromwell Town.  When we arrived back at Wanaka it was blowing a gale, I took the extra photo of the waves pounding on the beach.  That's Mt Iron in the background.  Another super day out was had by all.
