'Paddle in the Adriatic'

Today we took the water bus to Lido...another Venetian island. The only one with cars and buses. Very pretty and a nice change of scenery. The beach is beautiful and obviously where the locals head to on a Sunday. Very well organised with hundreds of cabins, places to shower, wash sandy feet etc. We were so hot it was a relief to take our shoes off and walk along the waters edge.

The building top left is the 5 * Hotel 'Prince Albert Palace Hotel'....this is where the 'Cinematography Festival ' was held this week...(Timothy Spall must have stayed here).

We took the waterbus back via the long route and ended up going around the Island, hopping off at San Giorgio Maggiore for a cold beer. A look around the Palladian Church and a trip to the top of the Bell Tower. Stunning views.

Ps had Spaghetti Carbonara for dinner tonight.
