Traditional Weather

Searching around for a suitable subject for Monday Monday - Traditional, I thought this old barometer I inherited from my parents might qualify.  We are promised really hot weather this week so I wonder what it would predict.  Sadly it no longer works but traditionally you could gently tap the glass to see where the needle would settle and what sort of weather you were in for!
