Another brick in the wall.

This evening I had an errand in the west end of the city, in one of the streets off Byres Road. This is an area I knew well in my student days in the early 70s. I took a walk around expecting that most of the streets had been gentrified and the lovely old buildings restored to their former condition. This is a delight to see and gives the old Victorian tenements and townhouses a new life in a new century. There are bits and pieces that have been left untouched and I like to look around for them. This old lane had the original cobbles and who knows what the hole in the wall was once for. I find these remnants of the past quite fascinating.
