The Coast

Metro trains running north from Newcastle city centre are heading for either The Airport or The Coast.

The hotel I use is on the airport branch, so for 18 months now I've been wondering what The Coast is like.

This afternoon I put on my explorer hat and took the Metro to Tynemouth. Quite genteel, really. Deckchairs on the beach. Pub signs about stag and hen parties not being welcome.

At 6pm folk were still on the beach. It was 22⁰ without any sun.

For dinner I was tempted to try one of the nice looking places in the town, but the lure of my Persian favourite in the city was too much. They didn't let me down.
