1924

In 1924 the state highway built a narrow wooden bridge to the island where I was born. The bridge was raised on request of the US Navy in 1942. And the bridge we now use was built in 1957.
These few piles are just about all that is left but there are a few on shore that were also part of the original bridge. Long before my time I might add. The seagulls and a few fishermen are the only use they get these days.
