Dancing at Braemar

The Royal Highland Gathering day at Braemar is like no other throughout the year. From first light, lone pipers can be heard practising on every street corner and at regular intervals, parades of pipe bands from all across the North east assemble at the rallying point just outside the Invercauld Arms before marching purposely through the village centre then on up to the showground at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park.
