Little Dorrit

This detached house on Denholme Road, Oxenhope is reputedly one of the smallest in the country. It measures 13ft 6in by 10ft 6in and has original features including a stone flag floor, a ceiling gas light and a ceramic coat rack.
Built in 1871 by a retired dragoon guard, in its life it has also been a communal wash house, a pie shop and a toll house.  Inside there is a small iron stove whose function was to keep flat irons hot and ready for use. It was called a "Little Dorrit"  ‘ – hence the property's name.

The house was sold for £15,000 in 2005 but doesn’t look to be inhabited now.
