Charity Coracle Race on the River Severn

The River Severn in Shrewsbury is the location for many events during the year. Today was a fun day, when there were teams competing to paddle coracle boats across the river. These are circular boats made from wood and a canvas cover, but very hard to move forward in a straight line. The first photo shows two teams starting from the pontoon and the extra photo highlights how difficult it is to stay afloat.
