Vintage Tractor Rally

We had a fairly lazy morning and went out at lunchtime to see if the Vintage Tractor Rally had reached Rosemarkie. It had a a whole range of tractors of different colours were lined up next to The Plough while the drivers stopped for lunch before continuing their journey through North Kessock and Beauly to Muir of Ord.
We went to North Kessock ourselves to see an exhibition about the old  Ferry Crossing and the Kessock Bridge. A fantastic display with lots of interesting information and photos. I hope they put a book together as there was too much to take in during the time we were there. There are great plans for the old ticket office and waiting room with Grand Designs for an information/viewing  wildlife centre with conference room etc. A lot of money is needed and funding is being sort.
The children from the school had produced some wonderful poems and paintings.I think that's what the children must have been doing when we went down to the bridge earlier in the week.
After tea and cakes we drove down to Redcastle and had a nice walk in the warm sunshine along the roads and lanes. Lots of signs of Autumn and we picked a few Blackberries, must remember to take a tub next time we're out.
