The Dolomites

The last day of our holiday and it's been wonderful. A tour up in the Dolomites starting in Feltre. Pat and I walked up into the old town and wandered around. We found a little iron museum that turned out to be Ernesto's man cave. I went in to take a photo of him and he got out his amazing bike. He's 94 years old and was so proud of all the things he had done and collected including paintings, guns, keys and metal sculptures. What an amazing find. Next stop was San Marco and we went up to the top of the mountain in 2 cable cars. An awesome view but it was very wet and cold with snow!!! We had a hot chocolate which was thick melted chocolate in a cup too rich to drink we needed to dilute it with milk .
A lovely evening meal with more prosecco followed by a grappa with great company. Home tomorrow so an early start. It's been a fantastic holiday and a superb area of Italy.
