Sckavone's Lunch Counter

We actually had breakfast at Sckavone's this morning, a rare Saturday off from work. This place was opened by the current owner's grandfather in 1930 as the Eveready Drugstore, at Division and 41st. And the lunch counter and soda fountain were an exciting hub of the neighborhood for fifty years. The pharmacy part has been replaced with local beers on tap, and stronger libations for later day dining. Some vintage photos where we sat are included.

I found a funny article online entitled "41 Reasons to Date a Photographer" which I could not resist sharing.
