spirea 'Goldflame'

The promised heatwave didnt quite materialise today, though it was still warm and dry.
I took the day off and we visited friends, did the shopping, and so on...I realised as the light was starting to fade that I hadnt a blip yet, so this was a bit hurried.
I love the forest of tiny stamens like sea anemones.

Himself is doing really well, day nine of not smoking !
