When we were young

Vintage hang gliding rally in the Lakes. Great day. This is a Skyhook Sunspot. The same type as I first owned. I can remember driving home through Buxton after picking it up. I was playing Toto on the cassette player and thinking I was the coolest dude ever. In reality I was a spotty 19 year old with what looked like a roll of carpet on my roof listening to syrupy rock music in my mum's black 1100 Ford Escort with gold JPS stripes which me and my brother convinced her to buy because it was black with gold JPS stripes and to which we could add fibre glass wheel arches and wheel stud  spacers to make it look even better. My poor mum - and what a pair of twats.
