Separating individual mossies into tubes for viral analysis. Once we knock them out (in a freezer) we then snap-freeze the mosquitoes using dry ice - this slows down any degradation of the virus. Again the safety cabinet makes this difficult to manipulate the forceps and tube caps causing thumb cramp..which is a little odd.
