seasonal brolly migration

True travellers of the surrounding landscape, large male Brollies make an annual migration to Wellington every spring, some travelling many miles, and await their opportunity. On the wettest day they sprout above their over-optimistic human hosts and on arrival at the intersections around the railway station, perform the traditional ‘blown inside-out dance’ then leap to the nearest rubbish bin.  An obscure strategy but in the early morning you can see them flocking to the back of a yellow truck, mingling with – you guessed it - small pink ones.  What happens next is a mystery, but next season the cycle continues
