At 8:00 am Angie set off to Munich to pick up her father and return to hand over Eddie. However they missed our autobahn exit and landed at the Memmingen Animal Rescue Open Door day.

Meanwhile back home I had walked the dogs, hung up the washing to dry and was busy cooking a Roast Beef Sunday Lunch. Wondering where on earth they were and worried about the Yorkshire puddings, phoned her. Will be home in 15 minutes, just got a bit delayed.

Eventually they arrived with the photographed little grey, big eyed, frightened and nervous  girl who though after a few minutes together with Eddie started to relax.

Luckily we know the manager of the animal home and thus could take the kitten without all the normal checks. She has been vaccinated and  is medically fit which is a big advantage.

After lunch Angie and her Dad returned to Munich with the yet unnamed kitty - Angie had prepared food, cat litter etc etc. She later reported she had settled in very well. Then Angie visited her mum and delivered eggs, tomatoes and cucumbers before driving home. Despite the stress of 400km driving she phoned from the car to say "Don't walk the dogs this evening, I want to do it to get a few minutes to wind down" and that despite the rain pouring down.

So as predicted when Eddie came to us 10 days ago, pigs still can't fly and Eddie will be staying with us.
