Lake District - Surprise View

Today is our last day in the Lake District... Initially we went to go to the Hawse End jetty at Derwentwater, but on our way there we quickly realized that there was a lot of mist in the valley. So, just like last year during our photo trip to Glencoe, we changed our plan to accommodate for the weather conditions. We drove to Surprise View, which would hopefully position us above the mist. Well, it certainly did!

Later on, we found out that Surprise View is aptly named when John Gravett set up his tripod beside ours. It was nice to meet you John.

After breakfast it was time to check out and drive back to Newcastle airport. At eight 'o clock in the evening, we were back in Amsterdam. After I dropped of Herman and Ton at their homes, I returned home around half an hour before midnight. What a great trip this has been!
