Wooden Pot

Fantastic sharing time with Premal - and Rob too. Rob was pre-occupied with this type of project using lathes equipped with Rolls Royce bearings. Making hollow forms from wood.. this vase is delicately thin - very light and totally amazing - even without the sanding stage that Rob skipped.. Several hours in and the tool just gouged the base. *doh* Absolutely amazing though.
I feel very privileged - Rob's a *bit* of a perfectionist - this wood be normally destined for the fire (see what I did there) - but as it was my fire he was staying with he didn't throw the pot (and there), and like personally, I'm totally stoked at having one of his pieces. Choice bro! eh?
