Dhankhar very much

Amazing.
The Dhankhar Gompa (Gompa Tashi Chhoeling) is supposedly the first to be established - and when the world comes to an end, it will be the last to fall.

As shown in the fractal irrigation channels, life is harsh. The lack of precipitation is also seen in the towering natural columns that fringe the main road to the town. Each seems to be a mud stack, topped by a small stone, enough to cause the creation of this huge sculpted, often impossible looking, beautifully lit gaggle of orange giants watching over this ancient outpost.

Spiti boasts 5 ancient monastaries, Dhankhar, Tabo, Kungri, Tanguit and Kye. Dhankhar is the oldest - said to be established between the 7th and 9th century A.D.
