Magical mushrooms

We were in Galloway Forest park for the weekend camping. We went to look at a chambered cairn and although it was very cool we spent even more time admiring mosses and lichens growing on it. Then we noticed masses of beautiful fungi in the woods nearby and spent some time photographing them.

My husband later spotted yer actual ergot of poisoning fame. See extra. The one above is a russula of some sort.
