Sacha Lodge Napo River Amazon Basin Ecuador

You get to Sacha Lodge by flying from Quito to Coca aka (Puerto Francisco de Orellana) (scariest flight of my life - turbulence like you wouldn't believe possible without the plane falling apart!), then travelling for two hours + down the Napa river (which was in high flood, brown and full of whirlpools and logs) in a motorized long boat , then walking along the river bank for about half a kilometre, then travelling in a paddled canoe for about half an hour across a black water lake, to this entrance. Amazing place, couldn't believe I was in the Amazonian rain forest - if you ever get the opportunity to go, grab it!
