As far as the eye can see

There are fields and fields of sunflowers and this year they are late to bloom as the Spring was so cold and wet here. Mind you on one side of the road there might be a field with them in full bloom like this and on the other a field where they are fading and hanging low ... I saw this field yesterday on our way back on our bike ride up dog hill (called such as there have often been loose dogs on the road - a nightmare for cyclists especially as a few years ago one of them bit Mr A's ankles as he was cycling past). I decided then I would go back about this time when the sun was full on the flower heads. And here is the result. And it is market day in Riberac .. we went very early to get the best produce as we are having our neighbours over for lunch tomorrow.. And today being peak season the market was already busy but would be shoulder to shoulder later on when all the tourists appear... On the way back we stopped at our local town to reserve a table for our lunch today. Friday - fish and chips!! Horror of horrors .. we always said we always go French and not hang onto the British habits but the fish and chips are sooooooo good here (even with mushy peas) and it is partly french run .. excuses excuses .. so it will be outside in the shade with a demi carafe of red no doubt.. such a tough life.. Must limit the wine to be able to work this afternoon!! Oh that has assuaged my conscience!!

P.S. hope you can see the bee... not so well defined..

And here is Mr A loaded with the shopping .. he likes to be balanced with the bags . he is the shopper and chef .. and a very good one too
