Point the other way

Every night when there is a sunset, photographers point their camera at the setting sun. Sometimes though, it is worth pointing away and seeing the pastel colours of the last light of day.

The tide was perfect for tonight's final minutes of light; retreating  down the steps at Portobello, giving an impression of stillness as well as movement.
