Queen of the Watering Hole

Turkey Power! Earlier this summer we watched the turkeys, each with a dozen poults running behind. Now in the fall this mother turkey has one surviving juvenile following her around.

This evening I participated in a facilitator training for a World Cafe style event that will bring people together discuss the book, The Age of Dignity: Preparing for the Elder Boom in a Changing America, written by Ai-Jen Poo. 

In 2000, Poo co-founded Domestic Workers United (DWU), the New York organization that spearheaded the successful passage of the state's historic Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights in 2010.
