Wide Angle Wednesday Canola

Last night we stayed at Peak Hill, a small town of less than 1000 people.
Before checking into the motel we made sure there was somewhere to eat and found the Ex-Services club had a Chinese restaurant.
Not expecting much, but with no alternative, we ventured in. There was one other group there - 2 couples and their 6 (very well behaved) kids. It was the best meal I have had for a long time, all for $20 each.

This morning we visited the old open cut gold mine. It was very interesting and a nice scenic bushwalk (with not another soul in sight) but unfortunately it was raining so much we decided to cut the visit short and return another time.

We had a leisurely trip home, despite the heavy rain, through the lovely green countryside, punctuated with golden canola.

Thanks again to bobsblips for his ongoing effort as Wide Angle Wednesday host.
