Old and new

In the foreground are the rusting supports of Brighton's West Pier, which burned down in 2003. Behind it is the newly-opened i360. It's 162m tall and is the world's first vertical cable car and tallest moving observation tower.
The ride costs £15 (£7.50 if you live in Brighton) and on a clear day you can see for 26 miles. I didn't go up, just stayed on the shore to take photos. Twice this month the i360 has got stuck...

 PS According to the operator, the "i" in the title stands for "intelligence, innovation and integrity". Some local residents say it is an i-sore...what do you think?
