Evening splendor

John and I  ventured into the woods for a time today to find mushrooms, blips, and whatever else a walk in an autumn forest might offer. We did find enough Chanterelles for a meal. Then my dinner making kept being interrupted by frequent dashes outside to admire the unfolding sunset splendor. "Did you see the clouds?" asked our daughter on the phone.
I did, and the photos trumped all the pretty forest shots.
