One French Hen

Think I only managed a couple of hours sleep in the travel lodge last night.  The air conditioning unit for the whole of the TL and service station was right below us and which hummed and droned away loudly;  Mr T, not knowing what the noise was, asked me if I could turn it off?!   Anyway the alarm went off at 4am and we shot up, had a quick cup of tea and off to the airport in the dark;  bleary eyed we found ourselves in a queue for the wrong car park from which we couldn't extricate ourselves, but once at the barrier the lady on the other end of the automatic machine  told us so in no uncertain terms but let us through, of course, and told us where to go - right to the other end of the airport.....  After all that palava we were very glad we had pre-booked priority boarding which meant we could proceed straight to security where, once again, I was hauled out of the cattle queue for a thorough body search, shoes and belt off and sit over there and wait .....  but after the all clear we were very soon on our way and had a very good flight to Bergerac where S and B were there to meet us and 45 minutes later we arrived at their beautiful barn.  The weather is gorgeous and we ate a very French lunch al fresco.

I think we're going to have a super week here.

The collage is:
