by the light...

...of a teeny weeny clip on menu light we celebrated my birthday and kicked off Mum's 'big 90' bash at Wildflower.

A huge treat staying at Perth's one and only 6 star hotel 'COMO Treasury' and dinner at Wildflower located in a glass cube on the roof.
Six seasons of menus following the six Aboriginal seasons and currently we are in 'DJILBA- the Season of Conception' when wattles come into bloom along with lemon myrtle, large birds nest to hatch their eggs and popular foods include yongas (kangaroo) and weitj (emu),

A wonderful experience with foraged and bush tucker sour grass, dune spinach, quandongs, finger limes, eucalyptus snow and anise myrtle  alongside duck, wild caught fish, rainbow trout, scallops and kangaroo ...and for the 'veggies' wood grilled salsify and heirloom carrots cooked in paperbark.
(Extras are trout, scallops and snow and chefs Mark and Justin)

AND greeting flutes of Taittinger on arrival...hey it's a big birthday! and when the wonderful COMO crew discovered that, it really was on for one and all.
Taittinger in Mum's room and on check-in and yes we could have been sipping at checkout too!
