A cake and card event for Macmillan Cancer Support

Helena has been busily preparing for this morning's event in aid of Macmillan Cancer support. She invited a few friends to visit the house to share cakes and biscuits and to see her latest range of cards. I took a couple of pictures before anyone arrived and just as I did so the sun came out and shone brightly through the back door.

A few minutes later the first person arrived and a few more cakes appeared on the table. I helped by making teas and coffee and conversation and we all got to know a few new people which is always a good thing. Next week there will be another event at the town council offices where Helena will be selling her cards again at another fund raising day for Macmillan Cancer Support, which many local businesses in town are participating in.
