Poorly 'Auntie' S

N is off to Romania for a whole week from today, leaving me a little nervous about the week ahead. My usual coping strategy is to be BUSY.

This morning we headed over to East Lothian for an NCT catch-up, from there to collect Auntie J, then over to Fife to visit 'Auntie' S (who is more of a surrogate granny type figure than an auntie). She is 86 and has just undergone major surgery, so she's been in ICU and is now in high dependency. She is a feisty one. Even hooked up to numerous tubes, receiving blood, and with a machine helping her to breathe she was chatting away. She obviously needed rest, but also wanted a chat. It was good to see her and how resilient she is.
