Saved!

I was hopelessly looking for a Blip after work this afternoon, thinking I would have to resort to the seedheads in my garden when I noticed this final instar Parent bug nymph......Yipee!!
The parent bug Elasmucha grisea,  is a common little shieldbug that overwinters as an adult, it's name is derived from the fact the females brood the eggs and young larvae. It feeds on birch, which is probably why it was in my garden! - I love that tree!!
