Golm
Golm on the German/Polish border - started in September 1944 as a cemetery for German soldiers killed in the southern Baltic area but expanded to take the estimated 23,000 civilians killed in the US air raid on Swinemunde in March 1945 when many refugee ships were sunk.The GDR authorities removed the individual grave markers.
