The Chailey Heritage Marine Hospital, nr Newhaven

This is the remains of the nurses home.
From Wiki:
"The hospital was built in 1924, to provide aftercare and recovery for disabled boys who had undergone surgery. Plaques on the site speak of a charitable foundation, the "Guild of the Poor Brave Things", that founded the hospital as part of the Chailey Heritage created by Dame Grace Kimmins in 1903.

This was an extension of the main hospital to try to build strength up in the boys by the spartan conditions and sea bathing, not just for post operative case or for "cripples", but it was also used for asthma cases."
