Doors in Oslo # 94

This door from 1915 belonged to a bank that gave loans to farmers.  Today it belongs to another bank and the building is totally renovated - except this door. I wonder if they will restore it to it's former glory or if they will change it.

The latter would not surprise me. This week I planned to take a shot of an old, beautiful black door, just waited for them to remove the scaffold. But they had put a new door, a neutral, boring glass door to show more of the store! Typical Oslo attitude! No appreciation for our architectural history.

Fingers crossed that the door from 1915 will survive :-)

Happy Friday :-)
