Pots

I went pot shopping. This is a great old place - they make hand thrown, salt glazed pots, Some are not thrown but based on the old forms that indicate the origin of the industry - drain pipes. I looked into the beautiful hemispherical kiln where they were busy stacking and at the rows of pots in the workshop drying and ready to be fired. The potter takes about 10 minutes to throw a pot, some are massive. He must have impressive strength and skills developed over his forty years of work. Long may it continue.
