Powfoot beach, Dumfrieshire

I was hoping for a clear sunny day like yesterday in Yorkshire, but it wasn't to be.  Never mind, it's a good day for saturated landscape photos.

I've often wondered how these funny tussocky things come about.  Anybody know?
