Today we visited Baddesley Clinton - a National Trust property which is a favourite of ours and only about half an hour's drive away.
We took Hector and Ziggy for a walk around the estate there. Part way round, the heavens opened although the sun was shining beautifully. There were hordes of people sheltering under trees and hedges - but we strode manfully (and dogfully) on.
Upon our return to the carpark, we put H&Z in the car for half an hour and visted the walled garden where the dahlias were looking absolutely stunning. The rainstorm had washed all the petals and the blooms were really glowing.
