Newlands Valley

The weather forecast for today was not too bad so we headed off to mop up a couple of Wainwrights (Ard Crags and Knott Rigg).

The wind was biting and when it started hailing it was not very pleasant.  However after it cleared the views were spectacular.

Jane blipped the spectacular rainbows we saw as the storm retreated towards Causey Pike however I have posted a three shot stitched panorama of the rainbow as an extra as it shows the complete arc.

My main picture is in the opposite direction up Newlands Valley towards Robinson (worth viewing large).  The buildings at the bottom are Keskadale Farm where we once stayed in the B&B  and the sidelit ridge to its right was our route down (ruddy steep in places)
